So, to sum up. I've had better weeks than this one that's thankfully come to a close.
The long version is this. [warning, rant ahead]
First off, me and Dorthea had a little headon at the beginning of the week, nothing serious, but we both have tempers and arn't afraid to say if something bugs us. so while I have no problem with confrontations, they don't really cheer me much up.
So break my spirits further, murphys law has been in full effect at work lately. highlights are these, my work shoes have displayed a remarkble detail with their "respiratory system" that allows your feet to breath. while suppose to let air out when you walk, I've discovered they suck water in and hold it in very very well. so I can either choose between wet and cold feet, or constantly arguing about why I ain't outside helping with the christmas lights.
the god damn infernal heart pager system (trauma and heart disaster calls goes over the pager system) problem is, the signal mast is really old. but appearently this concept is very hard for highly educated doctors to grasp, so several times this week, we've (I) been approached with heart pagers that "doesn't work" and each and every time I run tests on them and conclude they just fine and have to spend half an hour explaining it to aforementioned supposedly highly intelligent doctors.
"well you just have to fix the antenna then"
"holy shit doc, you're brilliant! we hadn't thought of that, good thing you can spare time from your busy shedual to grace us mere mortals with your gleeming nuggets of wisdom"
"you're most welcome"
"but say doc, that bag you pull your golden eggs out of, you wouldn't happen to have around 100.000 in lose cash. you know, new antenna and transmitter relay ain't cheap and we're already over budget with over a million. so help a lowly maintanence man out here"
...strangely enough, they never have anything intelligent to add to that. except that if it doesn't get fixed it could mean people could die. thankyou, here's you tights and cape Captain Obvious, go fight crime!
now then, thursday I took off early, to go get winter tires on my car. The drive out there through the snow was somewhat anxiety provoking. the ice skating scene from Bambi (Noel) comes to mind ^^;
Well then, I get to the garage and everyone is very friendly and helpful and I'm told it'd be ready in half an hour and they'll wash it for free a service. I get myself a hot coco and plan to stress down before the drive home through rush hour.
I should have known better, I've sat down less than five minuts before the mechanic comes up and explains two of my winter tyres are to worn to legally drive with, one so much they arn't comfortable putting it on.
and they were, one had a stretch with no tracking marks at all >_<
I was so, SO embarressed. I just stood nodding while the elderly mechanic explained to me the rules for tires and the 1,6 mm of traction mark they legally had to have. I know this, I went over it every freaking drivers test I had.
I didn't think to check the tyres before I looped them into my trunk that morning >_< expecting them to be fine, but I should have FUCKING checked. GOD!
To add to my nice rosy color, I'd forgotten completly about the lugnuts on my wheels being locked lugnuts, where you need a special socket to be able to loosen them. Was it in my car, ofcause not >_< I was in my damn tool box at home, but didn't stop me from more or less upending my whole car.
In the end, I ordered two new winter tyres and said I'd come by with the socket, so they could change the tyres when they came in. So now my car stands parked at Top service, cause I was sure as hell not driving anymore in this weather with summer tyres.
The bright spot on this was that everyone there were very nice and understanding, doesn't change that I felt like lying on the garage floor and have them run my car over me.
and just to add insult to injury, my summer tyres are so worn, so come spring I gotta buy a whole new set. sigh >_<
and then we get to today, saturday. started well enough, woke a few minuts before my alarm clock so I could just lie and wake up. I had an appointment at Nimat for a fullbody massage and was really looking forward to it after such a stressing week. I should have seen it coming >_<
I check DSBs homepage and it said nothing about delays or rail working in the city. But non the less, I went in good time. about 30 minuts before I'd usually have left home. I was still half an hour late for my appointment DX
it took me fucking 45 minuts to get from Vanløse to Dybbøls bro, where I decided to just walk the final distance consittering the hords of people jostling for a place on the few busses.
I was in an almighty rotten mood when I got there, but aleast my masseur got my shoulders relatively loosed and I didn't have to pay full price. so left in a somewhat better mood.
But when DSB fail, they really fail >_< I got a train, telling it went all the way to the central station, after it leaves the station it changes and say it only goes halfway, then you gotta switch to the central station. that train then says that you gotta switch on Dybbøls bro and when you get there, lets you know there's no train to the central station.
christ almighty! if I'd know that, I'd taken my chances with the metro, which was delayed like god knows what.
well then. the aforementioned glimps of lights were ofcause Dorthea, sending me sweet messages and listening to me rant over the week. <3
Hanging out with Frost and watching Kick-ass, which was kick ass.
and having a story get together with Eva and Sara, we're we nommed Tacos till we could have rolled and then talked about our stories. it was awesome and I feel inspired to do some writting again.
Emperor protects
ps: on that note; yay! Dan abnett gonna write the third part of the inquisitor trilogy in 2012 ^_^
This is my blog (well Duh) where I will muse at life in general, mine in particular, rant and rave about heretics and dumb people and general unfairness of beforementioned life. aaaand the occational stuff that cheers me up =) sprinkeled with interests and random stuff.

train = stress
Right then, more or less back in shape after a serious bout of the flu. Which just for variation manifested itself as crippeling headarch and fever. so I spent the better part of five days in bed, doing nothing that listening audio books ... or book (Thief of Time by Terry pratchett) and watching anime, finally got around to finishing Full metal Alchemist Brotherhood, which incidently is made of awesome =D I'm not too proud to admit I got moist eyes during the last two episodes. (as a certain warthog says "it just gets me, right here!" ) and I saw a shitload of monster and slasher movies.
But in the end I recovered and returned to work this tuesday.
I must admit, it was saddened to hear our receptionist's husband had passed away, during the weekend =/ granted, he was at the end of his rope, riddled with cancer cysts. But I'd hoped they'd atleast have a few months together before he punched his ticket =(
Also, just to top it off, thursday, the day he was buried, my boss informed that our old supervisor wouldn't be returning from his sickleave (he keeled over couple of months back, they discovered a tumor in his head and he's been operated twice) anyways, his wife called and told my boss he wouldn't be returning as they don't expect him to last long enough to celebrate christmas eve. =/
working at a hospital, you sorta expect death to hang around, we got a hospice section for one thing, so anyone admitted there you know is gonna check out feet first.
But just seems different, when it's people that arn't ... well admitted as patients, die.
anyways, that aside. Friday was a freaking madhouse o_0 my phone just wouldn't shut up, one crisis taking the other. well, nobody were in danger of dying.... well, then again, some were. But nothing that got so serious that was cause real worry.
well, around noon I was pretty ready to throw a fit and fling my phone out the window >_<
SO good thing I got off early, quick trip to the dentist to have my Grindcare tryout evaluated (electronic piece of equipment that monitors you bite during sleep and zaps you if you grind your teeth) anyways, it was declared that while I do bit down during sleep, it was nothing out of the ordinary. so that wasn't the cause of the howl in my ear.
That over and done with, I grabbed my bag and jumped the train, heading for Jutland.
I hate taking the bloody train during fridays and sundays. it's freaking stuffed and I always get the chatterbox, drunk and squeeling kid.
So though it's cheaper than the car, and in theory I can sit and rest, write, read and what not. it just stress me so very much.
So while it cost more to drive to Jutland, it's both faster and proberbly more relaxing as I go my own pace (around the speed limit atleast) and the only people I have to deal with are the ones I've invited myself, so I should be able to manage =P
well, at any rate I survived the trip and arrived in Hobro where Dorthea picked me up at the station and we spent a wonderful weekend together <3
totally made the traintrip worth it ^_^
and now, a new week looms in the horizon

Muse wanted
Female mythical figure of inspiration, where art thou T_T
I've run dry, creatively so to speak =/ and it's really really annoying.
I don't read as often I use to, a side effect of having gotten a car as most of my reading use to happen during transport to and fro.
And for some reason I just can't kickstart my creative drive =/ I've more or less dropped out on Warhammer 40k. I trying to get back into it, gonna try and hang out with Thomas and his gamer pals, see if it can reignite my spark of passion for dark gothic war.
More so, my well of will to write has dried up =( I have the ideas, I have piles of ideas. But I just can't manage to sit down and get to it.
Hopefully there'll pop something up soon, something that'll make me wanna create again. I had a real nice spout here the other evening where I was chatting with Dorte and she challenged me to draw her Gaia character and it turned out really well and we had fun drawing together, I felt inspired.
I want my connection to the force back, like when I (appropriatly) wrote my Starwars Phantom menace alternat script in 4 days. It was awesome just pouring out ideas.
anyway, enough whine, as there is no cheese to go with it.
here's my drawing of Dortes character in case anyone's curious.

Journey to the vest
Hep-Hey!
and I have returned from the dark reaches of Jutland. \^^/ (but since I had to leave a girlfriend there, it is not an entirely good thing T_T )
Anyways, due to some annoying rules at work about HAVING to use vacation days, I have a little handful of days off around this weekend. and I took of for Jutland tuesday after work, true to form there was a bloody pile up on the road all the way from herlev to taastrup and it was raining as usual (why does it always rain when I go to jutland)
and it was very windy also, had a bit of heartstopping moment on the Storebælt bridge when a truck got cut by a sudden gust of wind and pulled halfway into my lane, just as I was passing "meep" was my response ^^;
Anyways. arrived in Klodemølle and visited Rikke, Michael and the little lad Loke for a few days. as always, good fun and we saw the entire Last Exile anime =)
Thursday, I packed up and drove to visit Dorte, bringing soup (Rikke's idea) as Dorte had been sick the day before. amazingingly enough I found it first try ^_^ well, did take a wrong turn in a roundabout in Viborg, but only long enough for me to find a place I could turn around and go back.
Then followed a 4 very pleasant days with Dorte. main event being introducing her to Scrubs and meeting my new dad inlaw (always intimidating, particularly when the man has a wall so covered in skulls a predator would be envious) joking aside Dortes dad is very nice guy and I think we got along famously =)
Other than that I got a tour of her town and I got to try her homemade lasange, delish I tel ya ^^
well, there was the occational bickering, we're both headstrong and stubborn. but nothing to put a dent in the experience ^_^
but alas, all good things comes to an end, today I had to head home. So I kissed her goodbye (several times =3 ) and headed for Zealland, making a pitstop on fyn visiting my grandparents, which was a nice little breather.
So all in all, spetacular awesome vacation I've had =D
btw, some of you who know me well, or know of me .. or might have heard a rumor whispered behind locked doors and barred windows. I'm rather fond of bacon, so I thought this little kitty picture was fitting ^_^

random stuff and procasting
Well, technically I should be packing. As I have a few vacation days comming up plan to visit friends in jutland and a certain sweet girl <3
But as I'm a lazy butt and can't really wrap my head around all the stuff I have to bring... not really that much stuff when I think about it... but I have to get up from this chair and get it and stuff it into a bag =P
So post of random; comming your way!
I've always had a fascination with buildings, particularly older styles, with wood, bricks, stones and soul. I find much of todays architecture cold and empty, just piles of steel and glass and empty architect egos. granted there are exceptions to the rule, but overall I don't much care for that last 40 years of architectur.
I love this house: so airy and light, might be a bitch to heat in the winter, but I can just imagine it during springs days or fall.
again, looks amazing, but gotta be a bitch to heat in the winter.
a little to artistic for my tast, but I like all the greenery =)
if I ever had a room like this, I most likely never get around to read all the books ^_^ but there's just something about a old school english study =)
This staircase just takes my breath away, it is simply amazing. I think I could stand around admiring it for hours, just taking in all the details.
